... a side said. The pasties were big with a pot of gravy. We had eaten our salad and I had been on my iPad as there was free wifi. The people next to us got their pasties and we were still waiting although we arrived before them. I think they got ours by mistake anyway we eventually got ours so we had been about an hour and a quarter altogether. So we left around 2.45pm. I think we had just over a hundred miles to go to Menominee but Geoff got tired and as we didn't come across ...

3 pm land shots with the water in the background, 4pm back on the water to get some sunset shots and fishing shots. It is now windy as hell and a cool front ...

We were really feeling at home in our little area of Wisconsin, the Baraboo hills. But it was time to take our road trip to Door County. With close to 6 hrs of driving we wouldn't be spending too long anywhere today. I really debated this journey, since we wouldn't have much time to enjoy DC, but it just sounded too good to miss and I may never have another chance to see ...

Arrived yesterday afternoon at Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Staying at a campground where our dear friends Robin and Steve Albertson have a permanent site. We have a site very close to them and can see the bay from our site. This is a beautiful place. Had plans to stay 5 days but have decided to extend it to 8 days. Spent the day traveling up the ...

Sounds suitably creepy for the season, doesn't it? I finally learned how Door County got it's name. Apparently the waters between the peninsula and the island are particularly treacherous and home to many a shipwreck. This earned it the moniker 'port des mortes', or Death's Door, ...
