... in, but we caught a bunch of fish, and I got one! Our pro Eric is really great - super nice and really animated.

The guide I rode with today is Fritz. He's pretty great and so is his boat - he's lived in the area for a long while, knows this water very well, and his cell phone ring "What is Love" by Haddaway, so that is awesome.

We also saw a bald eagle - 'Merica.

Stopped in Sister Bay for an outside waterfront lunch. Simply an amazing view. Cherry season is ...

I rented a little cabin up in the woods and it has been a great base for exploring the peninsula. Most mornings have started out with my trusty thermal mug of coffee and Addie dancing in the waves at Whitefish Bay State Park.

... The other four times were in Michigan over the last two days. Each time, the Michigan Department of Public Works saw fit to announce this important passage. It's the halfway point between the Equator and the North Pole (did you know that? I didn't). We crossed it in Wisconsin this afternoon and the only demarcation was the 44th Parallel Winery. Wisconsin is clearly much less impressed with it's singular geography.

    I stopped in Sturgeon ...
