    Home Sweet Home

A travel blog entry by grantandbonnie on Jul 23, 2015

How could you not think/say "Home Sweet Home" after 4 weeks of vacation? As awesome as it is to travel and as much time as you spend at the beginning not wanting to believe that you'll ever want to return home, the day finally does come and it's exciting! The flights today were uneventful - exactly as you generally want them to be. Nothing crazy ...

... free data roaming (albeit at 2G speeds) in all of the countries we visit. That should be enough while we are out and about. If not, we can purchase speed boosts in each of the countries to get LTE speeds. We hope to have wifi in all of the hotels, but are not expecting a lot. I also take a small travel wireless router just in case the hotel has an ethernet connection in the room.

We spent the day biking and looking around the ends of the park we hadn't seen yet. We went over to an old homestead, saw the Marina and enjoyed the views. ... club sandwich I had was big enough for Bob and I to have two meals each!! We drove past Atlanta which, in our big RV, is a white knuckle gripping experience. We made it safe and sound but I was pretty exhausted. Now we are just NW of Atlanta staying for 3 nights at this gorgeous State Park. We are surrounded by trees and are Happy Campers. We arrived yesterday evening, took a little bike ride around as dinner cooked ...

... over the falls. Hot and
sweaty, we decided to walk into the lodge stationed at the top of the falls to
get a cold drink. To our surprise, this was a 5 star restaurant with a
fantastic view of the APP’s out of the balcony window. With limited cash and
sticky bodies, we ordered a round of cold beers to cool off and enjoyed the
view. The hike back wasn’t nearly as tough. We walked down grade the entire
time, through shaded forest, which was very pretty. We ...
