... The Archbishop had a surprise awaiting his guests as they dined al fresco. His seat of course, stayed dry. One of the most impressive was a golden conical shaped crown shot up into the air by one jet of water. It even hit the ceiling of the grotto. How to poke fun at your guests. Have a look at the goblin. The kids thought it was hilarious. So did the adults. Inset into the banks of a small stream were small moving ...

Now that I had started reading on train journey's it became second nature to do so again when leaving for Salzburg. This time the novel of choice became 1984 by George Orwell, I had always wanted to read it as I had heard great things. The train ride was much longer to Salzburg so I got there later in the day and was quite tired so I pretty much settled into my room and kept reading ...

We all loved our hotel. Hard to believe since it was called Motel 1. It is a new chain designed for business people. It has the W flair with minimal foo foo. Had a great breakfast there today. When I first came I had 1/2 of a roll for breakfast. Then I moved up to 1 roll, then 1 1/2 and today it was a 2 roll morning. Yikes. We walked in downtown Munich shopping in the rain. We went back to the Hof Brau house hoping my jacket was ...

... it before as being the Bavarian version of tapas and the place never fails tp disappoint. I introduced Beth to the fruit beer, passionfruit, cherry, peach. However I think I disappointed her in the end as she then thought you could get this at any restaurant, sadly not. We've not seen it anywhere else, but it was delicious while it lasted!
