Today, nothing exciting really happened until the afternoon, apart from kitty, Mum and Dad going for a walk on the beach and kitty's tooth falling out.For breakfast dad found some really nice croissants.

Late in the afternoon we went for a walk around the edge of Tofino, which was fun. then we drove to the shops where I got an awesome new hat and hoodie! We also rented some ...

Woke up in Seattle around 4:30am to pack the rest of my things and go through immigration. I had a tasty breakfast with Christa* in Horizons (walnut pancakes, fruit, bacon, eggs, etc) and finished getting ready for my day in the city.

There's a little complex down the road called "Live To Surf" with a coffee shop, chocolate shop, hair salon, eatery, surf shop, grocery store & taco truck. So we went down there to Wildside Grill for dinner - it's a great little outdoor eatery - very casual, order at the counter, wait to be called & then eat outdoors type of place. And the food is just ...

... first night even if I didn't use it (at least that was my understanding). Besides, really it was only the last half hour that was truly dark. Of course that meant hunting for a hotel off a highway in the forest in the dark. But thanks to my trusty GPS and good eyes, I found it just fine.

Got here, checked in and was immediately charmed by the place. The raincoats and rubber boots at the door, the quaint cabins, the sound of the waves crashing ...
