... science centre is also cool and a great place for kids but adults may enjoy it as well with many hands on exhibits. I had a great time on Vancouver Island and would love to live there or spend more time there surfing, scuba diving and enjoying all the nature. The winters are mild with little snow but they say it could be weeks before seeing the sun during the winter months and do get a lot of rain. This is my top place so far to live or visit in Canada. Matthew enjoyed 2 days surfing on Cox Bay with Jethro & Jonny (from Tofino Surf School) located within the town. The first day was a little foggy but the surf was good. The second was even better surf and sunny. Matthew managed to ride the waves and got caught in what he described as double trouble - two waves coming in close together. ...

We had spent about 3 hours ringing up this hostel when we were doing our planning as we really wanted to stay here, based almost solely on one photo we saw showing the view from the dining room across a bay.
