    ... back at the truck, then continue up to the North Cascades and find a camp. But after tramping up the valley through the gorgeous old growth forest for about an hour I realised that this wasn't your average 10 min trail from the carpark (I later found out that it was a 17km round trip).     Went off for a hike without bells and bear spray. Called in at one of the best lodges i have ever seen at East Glacier. In years gone by tourists would arrive by train in style, now we all come in cars, but its still stylish.     ... by their boldness!

    After a lovely evening shared with a nice couple we headed off to bed. We were remarking on how we haven't really spoken that much with our neighbours at campsites, but the last 2 nights in a row, we've met some nice people.

    With the clear sky tonight, it seems like its going to be a cool sleep, better pile another blanket on top of Josephine!
