As the lives of the three sisters were seriously in danger, one of the tribal elders from the Katoomba tribe took it upon himself to turn the three sisters into stone to protect them from any harm. While he had intended to reverse the spell when the battle was over, he, himself was killed.
As only he could reverse the spell to return the ladies ...

... with our packs on cus we wouldnt be going up again, i got stuck halfway down cus my feet wouldnt touch the wall, so i just sat there for a while admiring the view haha. I was far too hot and sensible for that!! I walked back to the hostel from the tourist centre and jumped straight into a cold shower, which actually wasn't *******n cold enough!! haha... It was very refreshing though!!
