The end of our journey is in sight!! We stayed near Detroit on Tuesday night and crossed back into Canada at Sarnia and headed down to Point Pelee - Canada's most southern point before going to Shiela and Rob's last night. ... The locals tell me this restaurant used to be a hotel. Bodies are now buried under the property from years ago when deceased family members couldn't afford to move the bodies to a different cemetery. ... the flame; the head was gone in less than two hours, from fully-fleshed to ash. The entirely of the pig was butchered and an uncountable amount of meat was prepared and set aside for what I can only imagine to be the deLeeuw's next 3 months of protein.

Megan helped us harvest until about lunch time, after which she had to begin arranging flowers for a wedding she was going to on Saturday, which she ended up working on for at least six hours. ... this, the streets felt extremely claustrophobic. Along each block, there were maybe 4-6 homes that appeared to be inhabited. The rest were abandoned and in complete disrepair or burned. Even some of the houses that appeared to be lived in were in various states of disrepair, although one or two were well maintained with beautiful yards that stood out like a sore thumb.
