Cool day in Montpelier

... service from Trader Joe's yesterday, where they couldn't do enough for us. We picked up a couple of things, and had a chat to an old lady who almost told us her life story. We could not escape her. When we finally did, we made our way to the Main street of Montpelier. What a gorgeous state capital this is. So green, so friendly. We are a bit of an oddity here as they seem to not have too many Aussie tourists here. Everyone says that they want to come to Australia, but are too ...

The forecast was for rain Friday so we unloaded the van in the dark. We finished stowing the gear by about 1 AM. Long day!

The Journey Begins

It was 34 degrees Fahrenheit as I headed toward the airport through a mixture of rain and snow. This weather, although typical of early spring here in Vermont, is vastly different from what is experienced in the region of my final destination. After 2 days of travel that ...
