Na comunidade vivem quase 1000 pessoas, já tiveram muito mais liberdade mas, atualmente, além de leis e regras próprias, o consumo e a venda de drogas leves ainda é permitido. Possuem um governo semi-próprio e quem realmente os "governa" é o estado e não o município de Copenhagen.
