      ... to Bens house and we stayed there until 11:00 pm until we had to go the airport for our flight. We got to the airport and we ate Wendy's which was terrible and now we await our flight that leaves at 1:00 am.       ... so glad to see him (and, to be honest, my water bottle). We got home and I saw for the first time the row of new mailboxes (a neighbor had organized the whole thing); they look good. Chloe didn't seem to care that I was home, though she did have a good sniff of my suitcase later on.

      I've had a lovely two weeks, and I don't have to go back to work till Thursday (yay!), and I'm happy to be home. On the way back from the airport, John asked where I'd be going next year. Hmmm ...

      You know I could say we are in Seattle and get very excited but what a long day we have had today. Up at 6am and traveling all day. The first part of the day was really cool. We caught the ferry from Victoria Island to Vancouver. What a big boat. The bus drives on with all of us on it then once we all loaded on you can go upstairs and seat on very comfortable seats and watch as you sail but today you cannot see a thing.       ... days a year but we were lucky enough to see it for four of the five days we were there – we had stupendous weather. We quickly scoped out Pike Place as it was closing and hit one of Tom Douglas’s restaurants (a Seattle chef -entrepreneur) for dinner – Seatown- which was delicious.

      First thing next morning we all did an excellent guided eating tour of the stalls at Pike Place Market (including Doughnuts, Tea, Fish, Chowder, ...
