    Hi Everyone,

Though this entry is way past overdue, I must admit that the past two weeks have literally been a whirlwind...

Starting with a crazy, fun sleepover at the center on July 12th to say good bye to the kids as I prepared for surprising my parents back in the U.S.

Followed by a potentially threatening and terrorizing typhoon sweeping through the Philippines on July 14-16th

Leading to consequential flight cancellations and rerouting to Manila ...

... speeding. Here her son had to do a #2 (poor thing looked like he was about 3) and she tried to make it, to no avail. She got a ticket and another surprise from her son, glad I was on the bike and not driving in the car with them. Hit some misting rain for most of Ohio, but other than that nothing eventful happened. The day was cloudy with threatening skies. It rained on and off throughout the long ...

... Quiet. Great amenities, too. I actually don't feel tired from driving. What a difference comfort makes. I almost didn't go with the rental! The traffic was not too bad. Plenty of trucks, a few stretches of single lane construction areas, and two passes through rain - once in PA and once in Ohio. We stopped three times along the way, ...

We quickly entered Pennsylvania, and that turned into Ohio. We stopped to fill our tank, empty our bladders, and get more snacks from the camper at about 2-3 hour intervals. At one rest area we got our first "treat-treats"- frozen coffee shakes and the like. By rule, we had to snap a photo of the bunch and sent it to Uncle Chuckie. We also cut up peppers to enjoy with hummus. It was delicious, but as we pulled out the BJ's bulk size hummus slipped off the ...
