Vancouver.... What can i say, i thought Toronto was cool! Vancouver has it all.
Great, friendly laid back City, great food, Amazing Beaches, Stanley park, mountains... the list goes on!!

I stayed a few nights down town, spent most of the time walking about and riding the sky train. I was given some advise by a few people that West Vancouver was a very cool place to stay so headed there for a view nights. I stayed on English bay which ...

... was at a steady at 27⁰ and by the time we had done our walk/hike (all the while Paul was grizzling about doing some crazy type of exercise) we were pretty tired and very hot puppies at the end of the end of it. Although to give Paul credit part of our walk included climbing up 250 steps up the Mt Haszard hiking trail (and back down) to see some amazing views of the Rift Valley. I also recall the stress that can go with last minute unpreparedness and therefore this time I had literally everything done by Friday, other than a few small loose ends, and have basically relaxed and hung out with my friends over the weekend. ... when the garden lights came on. I thought it was one of the fat cats that belong to the house but it was actualy a family of four raccoons just shuffling along. They were so close I could have touched them and seemed totally unconcerned that I was standing there! Unfortunately I did not have my camera on me. Great to see some real wildlife at last!

Vancouver is a really nice city and the people are the most friendly and helpful people ...

This morning we woke to cold and rain! Something we haven't seen if a while but will be seeing lots of in a matter of days when we head back to winter in Perth.

Talk about good timing! We planned our short trip to Whistler perfectly getting everything done before the rain started late last night.

It was nice having a big comfy bed last night and a short sleep in this morning.

We were back on the bus at 10am headed back ...
