... after 10 months of adventure in distant lands. Now after a few days we are settling in to our life back home in Vancouver (and routine eeek!).

It seems like we left yesterday as not allot has changed. People go about their business taking their kids to school, soccer practice, training for their next event. There are some new buildings in the area and some friends have moved ...

... walk back to the Robson street area.

It started to rain harder, no longer an off and on drizzle. We walked back to where we saw some interesting restaurants in the morning, and went into a Japanese place called "Gyoza King". A small place, but quite full. We ordered 3 kinds of dumplings, a salad, a soup, and a tuna tataki. Pretty good. No complaints. But I think my dumplings are better :-)

... the ship if I keep up this lifestyle. Anyhoo after 13 hours flying, 1 beer and way too much fish and chips I was "nackered" (that is some weird kiwi term for exhausted) so I was in bed by 8:30. Weirdly though both Pierre and I did wake up once about 1:30 and were feeling a little dizzy and disorientated and I said it's because we are upside down and our bodies needed to recalibrate to the Southern Hemisphere....LOL

... and will now have to lug a few bags onto Kelowna. Riley has decided he likes Russian dolls too so he now has one of his own.

Yesterday we saw something we hadn't seen the whole time we've been here. The sun. That big yellow thing in the sky I'd forgotten all about. It was a very fleeting moment. I know Christchurch is having beautiful weather at the moment...

Everyone is a little fragile this morning/afternoon. No wonder though! Managed to finally get new boxers from army navy store.
