... I think there are more vineyards than sheep in the Marlborough area. In the afternoon we to popped around to Gavin and Charis' place for afternoon tea, then back to the house where we tried to stay focused on getting our suitcases packed and ready for our early call on Friday morning to catch the 8:00 ferry from Picton to Wellington which means we have to leave the house by 6:30. Boohoo too early for me when I am on holidays.

Day One
North Shore of Vancouver - We self seeded ourselves in the second wave and took off at a comfortable pace until we reached the first bit of single track where there was the usual backlog - not due to roadies being scared of the downhill but we later found out a black bear. I don't see why as we were told yesterday at briefing to whack the bear with our bikes.
