An Indescribable Sight & Inexplicable Grief

... of the most incredible days of my life and at the end of it I was reminded of not only the incredibly journey I'm on travelling the world, but also that I'm journeying through the stages of grief. I'm told over and over that everything happens for a reason but sometimes it's hard to find meaning in losing someone close to you. It's something I've thought of a lot and probably will continue to do so. In my case maybe I needed to experience the worst moment of my life up until this ...

    BUSY NIGHT IN UNIT 7

    Threading my legs awkwardly, comically
through the arms of his heavy winter jacket
and donning the lighter one against the cold
of the small hours in Unit 7 at the hospital

    vivid, fantastical, anxiety-laden dreams
which speak of fear and loss and decay.

I tried to get Krystal to give one a kiss, "Rex Hunt" style ...

    Petra wouldn't touch them.

So fish for dinner it was !

... I hardly had to touch it but it did add something to a spectacular day all round.
The islands and the reef are beautiful and difficult to describe. You are looking down through crystal clear water to the coral below. The formations and colours are like nothing else I've seen. The islands and their coves with white sandy beaches, dotted with sailing craft visiting for the ...

... the boys rode their bikes. Airlie Beach saw us take a trip to Whitehaven Beach then Hamilton Island. Whitehaven is almost pure white powdered quartz and only accessible by boat. A lengthy swim for the adults and a sandcastle building competition for the children was in order (Jett won, but Seth was the only other competitor). Hamilton Island was in the middle of race week so the number of yachts in the marina was huge. Unfortunately (or fortunately) they were having a ...
