... around these places which is where i saw the shark and got so excited i nearly choked on the water, and an eel and the fish were swimming alongside me like when you see sharks with fish that attach themselves. So cool. I didn't want to come out of the water and had to be called out by the crew. Haha I am an official water baby i love the ocean on every way.

I was sad to say goodbye to the Boomerang but left with the best memories of my life.

From Brisbane we landed in Proserpine airport which is in the middle of nowhereville and a couple of fields. So it took us an additional 45 minute coach trip to actually arrive at Airlie Beach and the backpacker’s hostel where we were staying. We were kept amused by the local bus driver’s humorous commentary as he pointed out notable points of interest in the local area along the way.

... dark. That optimism faded along with the condition of the road, where the recent heavy rain had softened up the road and allowed it to get churned up by traffic passing through before us. It was an absolute bloody nightmare. We found ourselves slowing down to a crawl to pick our way through the churned mess of road avoiding potholes and ridges as best we could and ensuring we didn't get bogged down.
