    ... A woman stopped at the start of the trail and said it was steep and she often saw big snakes - thanks a lot. We eventually got Caleb going my and walked an hour or so in the cool shade. One needed to go further on in order to have the views but. The same woman stopped on her way down and it turns out she is from Belgium and speaks French. She walked down the rest of the way with us chatting about life here and some interesting details on jobs and work ethics of people around here. ...

    The bus arrived in Airlie Beach at about 10am yesterday, a little later than scheduled but not too bad with all things considered. At this point we were introduced to the 4 cars that would carry 28 of us round Fraser Island over the next four days - that's right, four cars for 28 people! There was one lead car that would carry 9 people, driven by our tour guide. The other three carried varied amounts of people.     ... as there was no commentary and not really much to see. Bought an over- priced roll and sat outside to share with 2 rainbow lorikeets that were very tame and cheeky.
