... purer Muskelkraft. Im Bus über Wilmot Pass bin ich dann fast eingeschlafen, war warm und mollig. Noch einmal mit dem anderen Boot über Lake Manapouri und dann waren wir dem Zauber des Fjordes endgültig entkommen – in der wirklichen Welt hat uns blauer Himmel mit Wolken sowie ein paar Celsius mehr erwartet. ... surroundings really reminded me of eastern Oregon... Lots of farm lands, veggies of all sorts and dairy cows, sheep for wool and lambs for meat, deer (saw a few huge red stags with 10+ points) which is a 100% type of slaughter with 90% the main meat cuts go to France and Germany and the rest (everything! Urine, blood, hoof, brain) go to Asian markets for top dollar. Te anau is a nice simple town, a launching point to explore the foirdlands and start the Milford trek ...
