... it poured during the night, but I slept right through it. I think that a cloud had settled into the campground because there was a swirling mist in the air - but it was frozen! Very cold.

Left Deadwood mid morning and drove 200 miles to Sheridan, South Dakota. It was a very grey, wet and foggy day so the scenery wasn't much unfortunately.

Stopped in a small town called Spearfish for lunch at the Sanford Pub & Grub - great pub with lots of different memorabilia around the walls and good food too.

Made it to Sheridan late afternoon and stayed at Peter D's Rv Park which was really ...

... not sure why she asked me to go to the front....but that was nice.......so had to wait a bit we chatted and then the dudes from the cars behind me gathered around the bike going ooooo ahhhhhh lol.... must say...GET YOUR OWN DAMN IT!!!!! All good. The sign gal fed birds from here hand....very cool...after about 15 mins she relaesed us......

... the kind of road you would wait to see the hatchet killer or something...or maybe a stormy evening would have completed it. ANYway, we made it through THAT and arrived at Sheridan, Wyoming about 11pm...and those hotel beds could not have felt better!!

We just had a really nice, free breakfast, topped with our free cappuchinos and are on the road again! I'm glad today will be a somewhat shorter ...

No people eaters....OR Fish!

To be fair to the people in Dayton, WY, everyone is very nice and waves at you when they drive by you...reminds me of growing up in Oklahoma...but so far, no evidence of people eating people. What we have witnessed are tall tales of trout fish catches from the Camp Host who brags about catching 20 lbs. of fish whenever he goes fishing. Well, that may be because he confessed to using live worms which Doug tells me ...
