      A Quick Drive

A travel blog entry by yellowstoners on Nov 13, 2014

On our way out from Washington D.C. we decided to stop at Arlington Cemetery, but not for long. After arriving we immediately felt a strange sadness everywhere. It was probably the saddest places I have ever been to in my life. We only stayed for about 30 minutes. We could not stay any longer even if we tried. the only things of note that we did witness there was J.F.K.'s ...

      A good hike

A travel blog entry by ktchris on Nov 04, 2014

... we had built up a great sweat and a good appetite. We took some quick showers at the campsite, had a quick lunch of soup and salad and then started to drive. ... last night in Shenandoah. We enjoyed the smokey swirls of clouds when it wasn’t raining, but had to stay tent and car bound for the most of the evening due to the weather. We picked up some sparklers, killer bee’s, and pop it’s at a parking lot firework tent. Shenandoah has been great despite the weather, but we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate our independence tomorrow in Williamsburg! Til next ...

... got my first cappuccino in a week - damn it was good. I tried to not have caffeine today... And the withdrawal symptoms were awful! I was definitely flying high after that coffee though... We then drove to a shop that sells mountain clothes and all things you need for hiking and camping... And it was a gun store too!!!! Wow it was awesome being able to look and view all the different guns they had. Totally wish I could buy one! Some of them are really funky looking too- ...
