We spent our first night at the Holiday Inn Express in Belle Vernon, across from Hoss's.

We started the next day with an early morning breakfast at Eat'nPark with our PA friends. After breakfast, we went to see my Dad and grand parents' graves, and then we hit the road.

For the first part of our trip, we took the back roads through Mt Pleasant, Donegal, and more. At Breezewood we got on to the turnpike for the rest of the ride.

Aug 25-28 JNM (Sam in NY with Tony camping) Enjoyed our 3 night stay at Kate and Nik's: 5131 Penn Ave. Reminded us of the apt building in Alex. ... fingers crossed I don't get sick or arrested on this trip!

Finally I "checked in" :P to the Walmart Supercenter in Youngstown, PA. There was heavy rain and thunder all night-- it was incredible! I've resolved to chill out in Youngstown all day tomorrow-- so far there's been too much driving and not enough chillin'.

Heading North!!

... to get registered for TSA pre-approval...for whatever reason, Dallas doesn't have an application center, and I would dearly love to never drag out my computer and take off my coat and shoes again. Color me spoiled! I won't know if I'm approved for a few weeks.

Off to Gettysburg! Brady missed the tunnel traffic with a detour and we were on the road. I really hadn't studied how long it was going to take, but once we were off the interstate, it ...
