Ok sleep last night in spite of having only one earplug. It helps to be tired and to have lots of white noise by way of the AC. Got up early and got in a short workout before hitting the road. Took a bit of hunting around to find diesel for the VW this morning but eventually found some.

We rolled into St. Joseph Missouri around 5 and checked into the nicest Motel 6 we have ever seen. Newly renovated and no carpet. Great room for only $50 and ate at Applebees across the street.
