In addition, we toured the S.S. Klondike a retired steamship, built solely to bring supplies and passengers up the river during gold rush days and send bags of ore to be processed in Kellogg, Idaho. Several pictures depict the early days of sailing the Yukon River, and the means to how supplies were shipped to Whitehorse.

Now, when I decided I wanted to come to Whitehorse I was unaware of everything that was going on here. And it turns out there is quite a bit going on here. Not so long ago a solitary prospector named Shawn Ryan has hit the jackpot. And with it, he started the second Gold Rush. It's going crazy here. And I should know.
