... Highlight auf mich wartete: die Abbey Caves. Mit Kopflampe bewaffnet, hüpfte ich fröhlich die Wiesen hinunter. Der Weg war wegen dem Regen der letzten Tage eine einzige Rutschpartie, die ich als Extra-Spaß einfach mitnehmen wollte. Also ließ ich meine Flip Flops zurück und schlitterte Richtung Höhle. ... gravel track to get there. Lovely spacious, single story house, quiet, great views even in the mist. Lots of catching up, we reckon it was 20 years since we last served together. Definitely a self- sufficient life style, they even shoot their own wild goats and pigs. Most importantly Alison went sailing with me , something I had not expected to happen, she seems to have enjoyed it and certainly seemed more confident in the yacht than Carol.

... Ortsnamen durcheinander. Wir waren noch nie in einem Land, in dem so viele Orte mit „W" anfangen. In den letzten Tagen waren wir in: Whanganui, Whakamaru, Waitomo, Whaiotapu, Whakarewarewa, Waihi, Whangamata, Wharekawa, Whenuakite, Whitianga, Waikawau und Wellsford. Sabine hat den Überblick seit heute offiziell verloren und redet nur noch von „der Ort, in dem wir gerade sind“.
