... restaurant on top of the hotel which is along the Columbia River. The river-walk also makes for a pleasant jog.

Down the road on US2 is an interesting town named Leavenworth which is a Bavarian village, sadly I was not here during Oktoberfest but it looked like a great place to spend a day checking out shops and German fare.

... firm, soft. Early season, late season. Flavors are important; we shouldn't limit ourselves. There are more than 10,000 cultivars of grapes, but at the supermarket, you can purchase green or red. Strawberries, bananas, melons are pretty much a one-stop shop. Not apples. I've even had some that tasted like grape kool-aid.
