... briefly. Heat a 7–8 inch (20cm) skillet, lightly oiled, over medium-high. Pour 3 Tbsp (45ml) of batter into skillet, swirling to evenly cover the bottom. Cook until each side of the crepe is golden, about 30 seconds a side. Turn onto paper towel or wax paper, layering one crepe, then one paper towel as you go. Can be made up to 2 days ahead. ... bizarre! (though we would come to discover totally normal weather behaviour for Tofino). We pulled up at Harvey House B&B - a gorgeous looking wooden house owned by a English couple who'd upped sticks and emigrated here from London back in 2005. After a brief chat about life in London and their life here we were shown to our room. One word suffices - gorgeous!

Thursday night decision to head to Tofino for the weekend. Managed to make reservations at a place in Ucluelet that Tracy loves (see Blackrockresort.com) even though there was a wedding going on, get organized on friday, and we were off saturday morning. About a 4+ hour drive from Victoria, depending on traffic and weather conditions. ... to the South Pole and it was very in depth. Another part of the museum dealt with the beginnings of the historic animal kingdom and had great displays.

... boots and bike, got an awesome Banana-Walnut Muffin (which saved my life as I almost collapsed in front of the counter of the bakery because of hunger :D), a shower and got onto the bus.
