Today we got an early start on what promised to be an ambitious day. The free breakfast at the hotel was lame today, just muffins and granola bars. We were on the road by 7:30. This passes by on the eastern side of the Olympic National Park, and runs adjacent to the Hood Canal, the westernmost portion of ...

I drove 280 miles today, that is about the limit of what I want to do. Tomorrow will be another 250 mile day but it should be doable. Especially since it will be Sunday and the traffic should be minimal through the metropolitan areas.

We are having a great adventure. Seeing so many things and hooking up with old friends. Life is good!

... small" homes on the coast. Once we hung up I pulled up our rental – The Beachcomber. It's a home that sleeps 6 and was listed at $600,000. The nautical décor was beautiful. All the cooking and cleaning amenities you could want after being on the road for a week. Naturally I claimed the master bedroom with the California king, heated tile floor and large bathtub. Jacob got the front bedroom but was excited to have an ocean view. Only one week on the road and ...
