    ... in Montesano for breakfast. After that we were to go to Westport. Well Winnie decided to flash the check engine light to us??? We found an Auto Zone and had them do a diagnostic test, it says something about a bad coil. Oh dang. Its Sunday and the Ford dealer is closed. So we are parked across the street from the dealer.
    Quite a nice area. Actually waterfront parking. We have a nice walking ...

    ... recommended it. He was right, great place. Roosevelt Lodge, 1937 Roosevelt visited there. Lunch was great, enjoyed a Crabbie ginger beer. Very tasty. Have to see if they have that at home. We think we've been thru here with Shandell a few years ago via Moclips. It is where the worlds largest Sitka tree is.
    We gave the Nuvi a last chance and without any errors he got us to Shandells, along with some of Cliff's memory! ...

    A lot of hours on the road today, but worth it to explore the story of Mt. St. Helen, its eruption in May 1980, and the eruption's catastrophic effect on the surrounding area. We spent time at the Visitor Center 50 miles west of the mountain and then the Johnston Ridge Observatory, about five miles from the crater.
