Westport is sure active, busy, picturesque, perfectly situated, and a lot of fun to be at. We were impressed with the TONS of fish being unloaded by boats, three or four, sometimes five full up to the gunnels with what looked like tuna. We were told it all goes to Japan. What? Let them catch their own stinking fish, dang it.

... catastrophes in the boat crossing. But even we weren't unscathed - the Tufie fell in trying to push us off the bank (chuckle, chuckle)

... veggies for 50 cents. We continued along Willapa Bay through Tokeland and were delighted at the wonderful flatland scenery. We tried stopping a few times, but the Mosquitos were as thick as the fog had been earlier in the morning, so all of my pictures were rushed. As darkness approached, Kevin's rear tire started losing air at an alarming rate. Not wanting to fix it that moment, he tried pumping it up. To his dismay, his pump leaked air almost as fast as he could fill the tube. ...

... in on the action. I spotted an interesting seafood joint a little outside the main area of attraction. The special, it turned out, was fresh salmon burgers caught only a few hours prior. Smothered with homemade tarter sauce atop a greasy bun, it was by far the tastiest snack I have eaten this far on this trip. Back at the campsite Kevin was enjoying, a little too much I think, lazily hanging in his hammock. We spent the rest of the day blissfully doing absolutely ...
