Maybe that explains the special treatment I get, with a chat about vegetarianism (she's never eaten any meat) and various recommendations. Her husband/employee serves her food at table and at one point, he even brings in a large container of flavoured rice for her to taste and approve. Day 9
... around Meadowhall - again. After my fairly unsuccessful outing on Friday, I decide to give it another try. I hate shopping at the best of times, and late-night shopping until 11 pm a couple of weeks before Christmas is not my idea of fun. The only bright spot of the entire evening is a brass band (maybe a former colliery band?) playing Christmas carols. Don't even like Christmas but they still manage to bring a lump to my throat.
