    ... the house in Friockheim where my grandmother Clementina Innes had been born & raised, we also saw another house where she had worked as a maid.

    ... and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine (and the girls just had to partake of another Mr Whippy!). The train was absolutely jam-packed until Leeds, full of Uni students heading back for the new term. The journey after that was very leisurely and we got to Dundee just 5 mins late. Grandpa picked us up and we had a lovely catch up with Grannie and Mac (their 7 month old Bernese Mountain Dog) before collapsing into bed!

    ... expect her to get very tired at times. She led a very quiet life prior to her aneurysm, and is getting probably more interpersonal communication than she isused to, plus all the normal interruptions from the staff there. Even though it was during their very limited visiting hours, someone came in with her menu choice sheet while we were there, and toward the end of a very short visit, the optometrist arrived to test her eyes. ...

    Dawn to Heathrow by train from Carlisle. Jo and I to Roslin To Roslin from Wetheral via A689, M6, A7 to Selkirk, Then A707 to Peebles and A701 to Roslin. Just outside Langholme notice an oil smell and then vapour coming into cockpit from engine bay. Pulled over immediately and switched engine off.     ... members, that run the restaurant as a family business. We had chicken pie with a lot of pastry on top and of course some ginger beer to drink.
