    ... generations of friends. We had a wonderful time together. Firstly meeting the landlord's daughters and their ponies and then walking to the Birks of Aberfeldy. The Birks are very understated and truly beautiful. Everybody managed the pleasant walk through the forest and thankfully there was more water in the waterfalls than what fell from the sky! I was probably concentrating more on chatting than admiring the scenery but never mind, it's on our doorstep! Can't wait for the next gathering ...

    ... our adventures driving and sight seeing throughout England, we needed a day to rest, being lazy and enjoying the cottage. We started out the day with british breakfast and getting aquainted with the information books, that were left on the dining table by Debbie, the Dunalastair Estate Manager.     ... was to find a stone circle close to a farm. This is not well known. The B&B lady hadn't heard of it. It was supposed to be only 1 mile up the road from this church. I had missed the turn for that too, but after I found the church, I just went up one mile and turned and took a chance. It turned out to be the right road. It just a farm road. But the stone circle was small and right off the road. Luckily, I found a place to park in front of a gate. I knew I wouldn't be there long. ...

    ... network and is the place where the Forth and Clyde canal meets the union canal. It's an awe inspiring structure which rise 35 m into the air and we got to go in a boat which sailed into it and were elevated 35m to then sail into the upper canal. It replaced 8 locks which used to take up to a day to navigate. Now because of the wheel it takes 15 mins. For those interested in amazing engineering structures, a search in google is a must! It ...
