    Dating back to the 13th century, the structure was a Dominican church until Maastricht was invaded by Napoleon in 1794 and the group was forced out of the country. Since that point it has been briefly used as a parish, then a warehouse, then an archive, then a giant parking lot for bicycles (not such a terrible idea) and finally made over into a bookstore. ...

    ... child and her grandmother feed the birds. it was a lovely town with a river/canal and what seemed as though would be a beautiful garden and park in the summer time. We had to return to Berlin and try the Kebap / doner... It was the first place of Kebap which happens to be Turkish however there is a very large Turkish population in Berlin.     ... The only downside was that there is nothing to do other than see bands on the site, maybe we are just a bit spoilt from glastonbury's endless amount of things to see and do. But with the acts going on late into the night and the site being small enough to wander to and from the tent, it wasn't really a problem. I think we all agreed that we would want to come back here one year. So if you fancy something a bit different the id say give rock werchter a go!
