    ... that might be dangerous. Anyway it was an experience but we really should take the weather into consideration when booking camp sites in future.
    Observation for today is that America is a nation on tail gater , there is little or no understanding of the 3 elephant rule and you can overtake on the inside late to avoid frustration. Im not surprised they have to retake the driving test in Europe.

    Our start this rnorning found us aground in the mouth of Jeremy Creek after leaving Leland Oil dock in McClellansville, SC. While this wasn't on our plan it did provide the opportunity to eat a nice breakfast, coming unstuck from the oatmeal-like bottom just as we finished the last of our coffee. From then on the day unfolded as planned, catching the tides just right and hitting all waypoints on schedule. The incoming tide carried us up Winyah Bay and we actually sailed ...

    ... Winkels had the biggest porch I have ever seen. It is indeed theraputic to visit old friends. The country side around Clio is cotton farm land, although we did see a lot of tree haulers rumbling thru town. There must be lumber industry nearby. After 3 days we left, a lot better people fthan when we came. Thanks guys for being our friends and for all your hospitality. ...

    Today we said goodbye to Grandpops and Grammy (until Christmas) and started making our way home to VA.

    We made great time to Florence, SC and decided to stop there for the night.

    Andrew accompanied us to Cracker Barrel for dinner and he had a great time watching us eat :)

    He enjoyed the king size bed again at the hotel and Daddy made him laugh so hard ...
