... great and we hiked back into the forest to see the moss loop and saw very big sitka, junipers and douglas firs that are quite large. We took great pictures, but only with the phone and I can't put them on the blog. So sorry about that. We were out by the Pacific Ocean and the wind blew hard and the fog came in. 2 jackets on --- that's how cold it was ...

Monday we drove from Seattle in a caravan of one Minnie Winnie, two extended diesel trucks pulling one 5th wheel and one pulling a small trailer. We didn't rush and spent some time for lunch in a Safeway parking lot in Silverdale. Well, stop one is complete! We arrived at pacific beach state park around 2pm yesterday, got some more layers of clothes on and went for a walk along the beach (see pictures). Around 3:30 we decided we had better set up camp before it got dark. Employing some good old teamwork, we set up the tent, pumped up the air mattress (I actually can't take credit ...

... 8217;t cooperating. Jerry and Charlotte camped at Lake Quinault about an hour north of us and enjoyed the area, so that became our destination rather than the coast. There’s a 31 mile loop drive, but we only drove about half way around the lake. Lake Quinault is also a rain forest that receives about 12 feet of rain per year. Naturally, it rained while we were there, so we didn’t do any hiking. We’re getting less and ...
