We drove from Chicago yesterday, along really busy highways, so by the time we got to the hotel in Elkhart, we were pooped. Plus there was a time change putting the clock forward an hour, so we were way past our lunch time too!
So once at the hotel, we found a place that served grilled sandwiches. the first I've had in ages. They're nearly always bread rolls ala Subway style!.

... t super difficult occasionally a train coming in the opposite direction would startle me. Sometimes the sway of the car would seem to abruptly change direction which would heighten my awareness, but overall it was a good rest when you consider you are in a moving vehicle. Hi Everyone,

Though this entry is way past overdue, I must admit that the past two weeks have literally been a whirlwind...

Starting with a crazy, fun sleepover at the center on July 12th to say good bye to the kids as I prepared for surprising my parents back in the U.S.

Followed by a potentially threatening and terrorizing typhoon sweeping through the Philippines on July 14-16th

Leading to consequential flight cancellations and rerouting to Manila ...
