... where we picked out a canoe! A red headed guy who was seriously proud of being an Air Force vet (a young vet, and a linguist) drove us down the river and let us off. It was a beautiful sail. Not hard to row (at least where I was, in the back. Sonia may have had a harder time in the front) and not too hot. We saw ducks, birds, a heron and TURTLES!!!! GOD DANGED TURTLES. They were so cute. There were lovely bridges ...

... back. It was pretty hot out and the sand gave Darren some little blisters even with his flip flops on.

Everyone headed their separate ways when we got back (Steve with an extra super cute kitten!). We had such a fun time and it's always fun to spend it with family that we don't always see too often. We were ready for bed...well Darren fell asleep in the truck on the way back right after saying to me 'I don't even feel that tired!!'
