Day 2 and a long, foggy hike
Today we did a killer hike. By killer, I mean that tomorrow we will see who complains about their aches and pains more. We went from 4893 feet to about 6500 or so. The entire round trip was 7.5 hours.

We arrived at Interlaken on Tuesday afternoon. On the way we stopped at a little rest stop by Thunersee to sit by the lake, have lunch and soak up the atmosphere. The water is aqua blue and with a few yachts in the distance, the odd duck paddling past, a pair of dragonflies dancing around each other it was a pleasant way to pass the time.

My first sight of the Alps
... this may be a fuel station but not quite the type I was looking for. Just like the ones I found in Italy it is totally unmanned and is all card operated. With only a few miles of fuel left in my tank I decided to give it a go.

Ciao Ciao Venezia, Wilkommen to Interlaken
... After 2.5 more hours of train rides, we made it to Interlaken West. We exited the train and took the bus up to Goldswil (a small town that overlooks Interlaken). The bus stop is about 50 feet from the front door of our hotel.

My favorite part was when we got to zip line off a cliff and drop into the water below!
