... of the best we had ever seen. The backdrop of the tree-lined Presidential Mountain Range, with gorges and ravines thousands of feet deep gave spectacular scenery to the ride. We passed the treeline up to the rocky outcrop and then into the clouds. At the top we stood on the summit for a photo. The clouds didn't dissipate while we were at the top, so we didn't have the same kind of views we had coming up. Besides, Sherrie's eyes were watering, hence the quote ...
... Lake Monsters lost to the Scrappers. Alex was happy, because he was the only person in the crowd rooting for the Scrappers. After the game, the stadium allowed any child who wanted to the chance to run the professional-spaced bases, which Alex did. When he finished, he had a great big smile on his face.
We walked back to the hotel in the dark humid night, chatting about our trip and all the fun we'd had - a great end to a long day.
Mallett's Bay is located on the 40 mile Island Line Trail. We biked about 12 miles of this beautiful, well maintained trail that includes waterfront and parks which connects Burlington to South Hero Island.
