... would not stand for this
outrage, so decided to burn down the US government in retaliation.
Consequently, the Americans decided to rebuild it, give it a new lick of paint
and call it the beautifully imaginative name, the White House. Good to know a
few angry Canadians can change the face of the world.

When the bus
approached Niagara Falls, there was a collective gasp of astonishment. Here’s a
little fact for you. Apparently, Bridal ...

... to take a long walk up to Casa Loma. This gigantic beautiful building was once the home of Canadian financier, Sir Henry Mill Pellatt. Not a bad set up. Situated high up on a hill, the house has fantastic views of Toronto down below (that made up for being unable to go up the CN Tower). The house is also surrounded by beautiful gardens and fountains. We had booked far in advance, so we snagged some bulkhead row seats, which were very nice. I'm 6 foot 5 and built like an NFL Linebacker, so flying in economy has its struggles for me. Needless to say, we were well taken care of for the duration of our 14 hour flight.

After arriving, I was ...

24 hours after original departure time of 10.00

24 hours after the original departure time of 10.00 hours (May 18th) I woke up in the city of Toronto at 8.00 hours exactly 1.5km from (now abandonded) apartment. I can confidently say we are making good time on the 6 day 5000km journey to L.A. For those who like numbers we only have 4998.5km to go. Firas made a healthy breakfast (I suspect first of the last on this road trip) that was enjoyed by myself, Jennifer enjoyed and scaramouche (the dog) begged ...
