... tour up a large estuary. We saw all kinds of birds, the top of a croc's head and a whole clan of Howler monkeys all sacked out in the trees for their siesta after eating all morning.

When it was time to climb in the taxi to head back to Monteverde we were all spent from the sun the saltwater and the waves. It had been a great weekend, but we were all glad to head back up into the cool green hills.

On to the second day of activities where we tried our hand at some zip lining through the forest with two very entertaining Tico guides. It was everything you ...

... instead! I figured that she wanted to test the fins for herself as she'd lent them to me to trial. Brenda has split fins (literally split down the middle), I really didn't think I'd like them but they're actually quite nice under the water, almost like you're not wearing any. The bike Laura lent me is trying to kill me, I have no idea whats wrong with it but it exhausts me in minutes! I pretty much spent my evening practicing knots over and over again for my search and recovery ...

... leaving tomorrow and had one last stop at Witch's Rock for Mahi Mahi tacos and El Gato Malo, my new favorite local brew. There was some sort of surf competition going on today so the beach was pretty crowded with lots of activity.

I made my way back over to Playa Grande for high tide, which was about 3-4pm and was excited to get one last day of surfing in. It turned out to be the perfect way to end ...
