... tour up a large estuary. We saw all kinds of birds, the top of a croc's head and a whole clan of Howler monkeys all sacked out in the trees for their siesta after eating all morning.

When it was time to climb in the taxi to head back to Monteverde we were all spent from the sun the saltwater and the waves. It had been a great weekend, but we were all glad to head back up into the cool green hills.

... say whatttt. I was frigging starving so had to run back to shore and then back to the boat again. Unfortunately, despite me putting my bag to one side, they had taken all of my gear back to shore so I ended up wearing fins 4 sizes to big and a mask that didn't fit my face, more on that later. ... the bottom and basically floating in a seated position. Think of Buddha, but less fat...and underwater. It takes a while getting into a good position for that, a lot of people end up upside down or just flat on their **** on the floor, but you know practice and all that. ... luck our guide did find an area with a couple of monkeys that could be seen. He would make these crazy howling noises to get the monkey's going and they would howl back.
