Well, we did see the lava last night, but not nearly as close as I hoped we would be. There has been a lot of volcanic activity lately and they are keeping people pretty far back. Wow, we are in a whole different world this evening. Packed up and left our condo in Kailua-Kona this morning in the pouring rain. As for the one way bridges there is one at Cuckmere between brighton and Eastbourne that everyone (including the no 12 bus) seems to cope with perfectly well day in day out. That said there are some pretty viewing points en route and the waterfalls were in full flow given the rain of the previous days so it was well worth doing.
