Well, we're off--sort of! We're suppose to close on the house at 10:00 tomorrow, Tuesday. We didn't feel like rushing around in the morning & we've been living in the 5th wheel in the driveway all week anyway, so this afternoon we made the 2 mile jaunt to Lake Lavon! I adhered to the general guidelines of bringing neutral colors, multi-purpose clothing, and essential items only, but I found that the wide temperature range and climate changes forced me to pack a little extra. And ...

... of 1912, where the robbers made off with a whopping $4,500, which left the town bereft.

After our picnic, we explored the gravestones, and found a surprising number that dated from the late 1800s, along with veterans of every major war from the Civil War to Vietnam.

Perfect weather, the wind in our hair, good conversations, interesting and beautiful scenery...all in all, it was a day worth remembering.
