... road. In the Lethbridge area the land was more rolling hills and plateaus. I took a shot of a HUGE train bridge (at least a part of it) that we passed just as we came into town. It is the symbol of Lethbridge, and we can see why it would be. I pulled up a Chinese restaurant on Chickie and we drove into town and had a very good meal there. ... making sure it is still tightly secured to the roof. It can get very windy on this road....there are no trees to break the wind!!! There is a huge wind farm west of us, but it is so hazy, I couldn't get a good picture. We just set a record getting through the border...five minutes....no lineup, we had all our purchase information ready and passports opened and ready...good day to go through. I imagine that tomorrow and the coming weekend will be very different! ...

... and we were in midday traffic in south/east Calgary. From all the homes going up, Calgary is booming! We finally cleared all the traffic and we made good time heading south.
We got to the US/Canada border at Piegans, MT. It is mindboggling to think what is happening at our porous southern border and the screening we had to go through to get into the US from Canada. Our tax dollars at work!

... of water appearing out of the ground, fresh every day. Also saw Great Falls - not especially Great, but I'm sure they were pretty awe and fear-inspring when Lewis & Clark came upon them on their trek North!
Spent quite a bit of time at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center - it was so very well done - very interesting, and I have TONS AND TONS of pictures to post, if only we can ever sit still with a decent signal!
