As you can see from the picture I awoke in another beautiful setting on the Columbia River. The night before I watched four kite skiers cruise back and forth across the river. I started riding around 8 AM and immediately ran into the infamous headwinds everyone kept warning me about. A very pleasant day. Left my campground on the Oregon side of the Columbia River in Umatilla and rode over the bridge into Washington. Good roads, low traffic and great scenery.
