    We drove from Plymouth, Mass. through Rhode Island and into Connecticut today.
    The rains started about 5 miles before we reached the Rhode Island border and didn't quit until we were well into Connecticut. We stopped for the night at a State Park not knowing that dogs are not allowed in ANY state parks in Ct. Unbelievable.
    We did find some pretty places in the park, but we certainly didn't hang out for ...

    The AAA Trip-Tix and Google Maps both estimated our time at about 8-81/2 hours to Hudson.
    We arrived at our hotel 71/2 hours later....which, when you do the math, meant 11:00am. In the hotel world that is called check-out time, yet we were poised to check in...lol. The receptionist greeted me and didn't seem to be phased at all by my request for early check-in. The entry key for room 113 was in my hands by ...
