... the offseason price for the meal and wine was under $15 for 2 people.

We went to a maritime museum in the fort on the hill. It was simple but had a nice display about an Austrian passenger line (The Baron Gautsch) that was destroyed in the early days of WW1. The captain had been warned that the coast was just mined, but he disregarded the instructions and was sunk by a "friendly" mine ...

The tour ended at a large Roman arch and after that we were free for lunch. Several of us wandered over to the outdoor market, and there was an upstairs restaurant there, so we stopped for a meal. I ...

... deformed. There was no other name for this piece of fur than ‘Tatty Cat’! A very fitting name indeed. He obviously didn’t take kindly to his new name so proceeded to walk over to our door mat, squat then ****** on it whilst we watched in horror at the cheek of it!

Tatty Cat, was then aptly re-named: **** in Boots!

Later that evening we wandered into Rovinj. We both instantly fell in love with ...
