    ... white-knuckled passengers "here we are"! We had the inevitable pizza which was pretty tasty and even snuck some veggies into the kids for entree. They served up a variety of veggies in batter, deep-fried and salty. The kids loved them. Back at the hotel, we rejoined the party - now reduced to Stuart and Heather - moved it round near our room so we could pretend we knew the kids were ok and had a couple of drinks.     ... it's not cold. So I'm happy!

    We stop for our daily dose of creamy gelato! This time I get 2 flavors on one cone and would you believe they don't charge you extra!?! Yeah! So I get coconut and snickers flavors, while my mom gets turrone and coconut. Both are sooo good! We can't get enough of this stuff!

    ... then strolled and shopped a bit and returned to our favorite restaurant where we had the same anti pasto with some extra octopus as well. We enjoyed some prawn and pistachio with home made pasta (me) and sword fish(Sam), all washed down with a 7 year old Merlot...YUMM!

    We then shopped a wee bit more ( I did at least) then hit the funicular for the ride back down the hill, to arrive back to a bit of karaoke.....not as yumm! Hope you enjoy the ...

    Taormina is absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous seaside with little coves and inlets. Little islands with little beaches along the coast line and a huge mountain up high where the actual town and most of the hotels are. Luckily I chose a hotel situated on the via nationale downi the bottom so our hotel the Taormina hpgwrden hotel was really easy to locate first off. No problem for a change.
