... enjoying the ambience. The food was great...especially the Panacotta and Tiramisu - and it was nice being somewhere that you know friends have been and recommended.
We had a great night and it was lovely being in Venice with David as we had not been there together - in this lovely romantic City. David has very strong memories of feeling lonely and awful in Venice when he was there on his own a few years ago. (I had left him in Rome for another ...

    ... arrived in beautiful Venice!!!

Our water taxi took us to our side of Venice, but we still had to walk a good bit to get to our apartment. Again with the public transportation (water taxi's this time)...we'll figure it out before we leave. After we got settled into our place, which is the roomiest place we've stayed in so far, we headed out to find dinner. We landed a really great pizza great that we didn't mind ...

Let me start today's blog with the great news that the bank has refunded our money that was fraudulently taken. Yeah!! This is such a relief.

We are feeling a bit fatigued after our big day of travel and not arriving in Venice until late so we didn't head down for breakfast until 8:30am. Breakfast is included in the price at this hotel which makes it so much easier than having to go out and find somewhere. It also means after breakfast we can go ...
