... renewed. I could handle much of France and French wording but Italian is another kettle of fish (or pot of spaghetti). We understand very little of anything. The train was very comfortable and very fast and we were soon seeing lots of water around us and knew we must be getting close to Venice!! We exited the train station to THRONGS of tourists. We didn't really expect the city to be sitting there empty waiting for us but really!!! It made for slow going. ...

Breakfast and checked out by 8:30am. Caught the train at 9:30 for a 75 minute journey to Venice!

Sandra advised us that boarding one near our apartment would help avoid canal-jams in the more touristy areas, and this proves to be good advice. We spend a very relaxing thirty minutes on the water, with the first leg of our journey coincidentally going right past our apartment in the Cannaregio district. The ...

... he had resold the room. I lost the plot. So not only did neither of them let us know that it wasn't the real price they both didn't tell us that they resold the room, So we both trekked around Venice to try and find a hotel that was never ours. What a joke. He didn't think we would want the room because it was double the price but he doesn't know that, so it was rude of him to even think that. We booked that hotel because of the price, location, air con and ...
