... the secondi of branzini and shrimps (two ways) followed by the salade, and finally the biscotti to dip in Vin Santo, sweet "holy" wine. She had the kitchen cleaned and was on her way before we finished. Experiencing private chef envy.

Jet lag is the bane of far flung traveling for me, but Ambien is my friend. It doesn't mix well with wine though, so to avoid a Joan Rivers incident I took a pass this night. Was wide awake at three to watch ...

... plenty of time. The helpful man showed us where to get the bus to Piazza Roma and next was the vaparetto – long ride, very crowded but wow we are in Venice. We then waited for ‘Sandra’ at the Hotel Danieli door but her Phillipino house made came instead. She took us to our Airbnb ‘incantovele’ house and we are impressed. We started the day by checking out the hotel! It was certainly value for money and in a great spot!

Breakfast was really delicious too! The fruit platter was amazing, every fruit know to man.....

Later we wandered, had a coffee (as you do!) then strolled back to the hotel where we collected the cases and got the porter to take them over the steps for us which made life easy. From there we strolled to the boat for checkin with was fast and ...

We also took a gondola ride and saw the Rialto Bridge. The gondola ride was incredible and it was nice to tour the city and just enjoy time being on the water. Honestly, if I had to describe Venice in one word, it would be romantic. The whole city just feels stunning and freeing.
