... sweat and dirt. My Aussie mates had other plans! Two days straight we did some intense hikes, about 25km total, from town to town. I thought of quitting multiple times and made up every excuse in my mind to stop pushing forward. One of the highlights of the trip so far was our morning ballooning with Chris and Claire from "Ballooning in Tuscany". Pizzas were 4 euros! Not a tourist in sight either. Delicious pizzas too..

Unfortunately, we were in such a hurry to try the beef dish that we had already started eating when we remembered to take the picture - the presentation was better than it looks in the pic. The food was so delicious. Some of the guests overheard us talking and were congratulating us on the dishes. All of us ate way too much. What a magical ...

I Want to go Back to Orvieto

After we left Pitigliano we headed west to check out Orvieto. Just as we were approaching the town we came upon a lookout where we could see the town sitting up on the hill. Breathtaking view. Although not technically in Tuscany it is a classic example of a hill town.

We parked the car and wandered up some streets until we ...
