That Sinking Feeling Along the Danube

ART MILL: birthplace of my wanderlust, 7 yrs later
... down at the mill (instead of the schoolhouse) for a break. The rest of the Artists in Residence slept down there every night, and after dinner and all the campers were gone, they would sit around the campfire and drink wine and talk until midnight or so. It got dark around 10pm, so it was really only a few hours of campfire in the dark.

A long boring road North
... I headed up the m/way plodding along at 70mph. The heat was beating down and
the temp had now reached a mighty 38 Celsius. In this heat I would often take
off my jacket but as it was m/way I decided I better keep it on. I stopped a
number of times simply to cool down.
Once into Germany my something strange happened to my satnav!! Normally it
tells me what speed I'm doing and what the road speed limit is!! However, it
