... the nearby attraction of the Valley of The Temples was a day well spent. After 2 days here, we moved on to an agriturisma ( like a farm stay ) where we had another couple of nights. This was a nice experience as it was a little rural and very quiet. Then we drove across the island to Taormino which is the exact opposite in that it is a town for tourists! A small ...

Got lost a few times trying to find hotels, this is also where I decide to buy a large suitcase to help lug all my **** around. Larsens rating for Catania : ...

left port of Messina and took a bus about 1 hour away to Taormina.  Really great tour guide for this tour.    Visited a great Greco Roman theatre, first built by Greeks then later rebuilt by the Romans with a fantastic view of the sea.  The town was very cute, and plenty of shopping.  Worth a trip ...
