      ... thru the snow and up the mountain. Now rentals are usually driven by first timers. Guessing this guy got quite a treat and a great story to tell. I pulled over and put it back in 4 wheel drive and we preceded down the mountain. SNOW IN AUGUST! From the pictures you can't tell that 4wd is needed but I guarantee you would not get from 7000 feet to 11,000 feet on this road without it. It was great fun! We drove right along the edge of great drop offs on a single lane around curves. ...

      ... make it in to a resort. It has three steam trains a day in from Durango, but that bring lots of people for an hour, buying tat.

      Great night out in a rum bar. Including dinner the evening lasted from 4pm until 12. Way past Bills bedtime.

      This morning Bill feels terrible and is convinced that he has altitude sickness. The majority views from even the most casual of observers would call it a hangover.
