    ... day we tackled cinnamon pass, which proved to be the first major obstacle of the trip, ended up dropping the bike in a loose steep switchback, no real damage to man or machine, other than lots of clutch abuse.     ... at the same time we would arrive at the panhandle. We slowed, not wanting to be where the cold front and tropical storm met. As we slowed so did the storm which eventually fizzled . We were on the fringe of rainy weather the rest of the way home.

    In total we drove nearly 16,500 miles.

    There are innumerable trails in this part of the country, and I could spend a whole month here and the nearby towns of Ouray and Telluride no problem. The guidebook I have allowed me to pick a couple of the best, and as I realized that I need a break from this solo traveling, these turned out to be the only two hikes I'd do in Colorado.
