... at the same time we would arrive at the panhandle. We slowed, not wanting to be where the cold front and tropical storm met. As we slowed so did the storm which eventually fizzled . We were on the fringe of rainy weather the rest of the way home.

There are innumerable trails in this part of the country, and I could spend a whole month here and the nearby towns of Ouray and Telluride no problem. The guidebook I have allowed me to pick a couple of the best, and as I realized that I need a break from this solo traveling, these turned out to be the only two hikes I'd do in Colorado.
