Damien, Belinda and Dave Morris-Munns (the adopted son) fly in from Barcelona. No airport pick up, but a 5 litre beer flagon is personally delivered to Arena Dreams apartment by Ernesto himself (the personal touch is what keeps ET in front of the pack).

... cheesy Venetian masks, outdated and inefficient 'water buses' and water that smells like a sewer. St Marco square is also, overcrowded with tourists with shops you can't even browse through due to crazy crowds. It also contains an ugly cathedral that we got stooged out of cash to enter the 'museum' aspect of the monstrosity. I was led to believe that the church was open to everybody, for the people, but we had to pay to look at religious ...

CARMEN THE OPERA - WOW ISN'T ENOUGH

seen – even better than Les Miserables in London. The singing was beautiful –
especially Carmen. The way they staged the story was exciting with something
happening all the time. It certainly was unforgettable. The dancing (Spanish) was also excellent. Didn’t get home to bed until 2 am – bit late for Craig and Lina but we enjoyed
every minute. Some days you never forget – this is one of them.

colours – very much like Tuscan churches. One painting by Pisinello of St
George and the Principesa was a truly remarkable fresco. Our experience was
made even better because an organ was being played wonderfully. The frescos on
the walls were from the 1500s and the Cathedral had great light with good
written descriptors. The Marble fonts reminded us of those in Sienna and we
will be going ...

... ride and had the most entertaining gondola operator. Standing on the bow doing ballet/dance moves, he lost his footing and almost fell in! He was very friendly and made us laugh!
