... to get to the ticket office. Well worth waiting, think my favourite part was the lovely cloisters with their central garden and an amazing view across the bay. Stopped in the way home to buy chicken for a dinner at home, sat in the courtyard for a pre dinner pastis in the lovely warm evening. We have been so lucky with the weather, warm and sunny every ...

Woke to a very misty morning, and the Port of Dinan looked entirely different. We headed off early (for us!) to catch a boat to cruise along the Rance to St Malo. The mist made the river very atmospheric, though the downside was not being able to see very clearly the very pretty villages along the way. ... our way to the top of the island, where the church and abbey were. Great views from there. The tide here is tremendous. It rises and falls 50 feet. We got there at low tide and couldn't see the ocean. When the tide is up, the water slaps against the walls around the village.
We left Mont St. Michel and headed for our next stop for the night in St. Malo. This is also on the coast, ...

Another glorious day and we decided to walk along the river Rance to Lehon. We were only about 10 minutes into the walk when a lady stopped to tell us the path was closed due to falling rocks, so back to the Port across the bridge and off along the other side of the river. Nice stroll along the river bank, quite lot of walkers and cyclists, ...
