... They told us it was the biggest European palace second to the Hermitage in St. Petersburg in Russia. So cool.
We ate lunch and then we decided to split up. The girls and I went to the pool, Braydon and Jenni went on the tour of the stadium and Barb was the smart one and stayed at the hotel and took a nap.
Tonight we are going to dinner and waiting for the sun to go down to see Plaza Mayor at night.

Our last day in Alaska. We spend our last night in the motorhome in a nice state campground about 25 miles south of Anchorage on Turnagain Bay. Turnagain Bay is a large bay, about 3 mies wide and 40 miles long, and is a tide water bay. The water rushes in from the ocean at dusk and rushes out at dawn. We left our campground at 7:30 am and the water had waves and ripples about 3 ft high as the water rushed out ...

... by-passed the Eisenhower Tunnel, but it was well worth it. The snow covered mountains were exactly what I wanted to see driving through Colorado. Since I had missed basically all of winter, I wanted to see some more snow before another 7 months of warmer weather. It was some of the best scenery on the trip.
