I'm sitting in the Charlotte airport on my 8 hour layover, drinking a cold beer and reflecting on the last 10 years. This trip is far and beyond anything I've ever done before, and it is really exciting. Especially since I still don't have half of it planned yet!

... it pointed in the right direction so I guess I learned something at the practice session before the race. When the five laps were done, we got out of the cars and went back to the front. The guy running the race had sheets of paper in his hands and when we were all lined up he started calling names. My name was called first, as it seems I won the race. Woooo Hooooo! ... I got off the plane...haha. I was stunned but said, “sure” without hesitating. I had 5 hrs to burn before my next flight. The ironic thing was that as we were sitting at his gate waiting for the plane to board, his plane had several short delays where they were going to board and then stopped. He checked in regularly to get an update on the plane but as we were talking apparently somehow they boarded the plane and left....ROFL. Actually, it was not ...
