... about an hour to sunset we went back to the camper got some chips and salsa, beer, and water as well as our chairs and jackets. We went back to one of the state beaches and parked by the breaking waves and settled in to watch the sunset. As soon as we opened the salsa and chips Tex saw a sea gull that was just too close and took off after it. ... painted timber. After our exploration of Pismo Beach we drove 5-10 minutes up the 101 to Hartford Pier on the San Luis Obispo Bay on the trail of more sea lions (?). Had a great time at the Fuel Dock. After the band quit for the night, I played a couple of games of long board shuffle board before calling it a night.

... certainly get excited over here about the strangest things. We continued the drive all the way to pebble beach- a first class golf resort with beautiful surroundings and a grand hotel. We were encouraged to take a look inside so we wandered in. Hilfra made a dash for the toilets. I think this is a woman thing to leave their mark.
