... what you are supposed to do when you retire - relax!!!!

We visited the Riverwalk a number of times, visited the Alamo, Historic Market Square, River Center Mall, Gruene, museums, double decker buses, river rides, trolley rides, saloons, great restaurants (Rita's on the River, Tony Roma, Lone Star, Pat O'Brien's, etc.). ... checked into the Hotel Valencia -- a really nice place on the Riverwalk (we got what seemed to be a good deal when we made a same-day reservation on the internet earlier today). We finished the day with a refreshing drink on the hotel's veranda and then a nice stroll by the Alamo and then on the Riverwalk along with some good fajitas at the Casa Rio restaurant - we sat right next to the canal. Tomorrow... Another driving day -- we'll see how close we can get to New ...
